VTG Gitane Cottered Steel 52/36 Tandem Crankset 170mm Arms

Gitane Tandem  Double Crankset I picked up a neglected Gitane tandem recently as a packaged deal. I had offered the tandem complete, but its time to offer up the parts instead. I treated this crankset for rust, you can see it over on my FB page, bills vintage steel bikes. The rust is gone, but what remains has a lot of small pits in the chrome. Could be used as is, keep it waxed, or could be a candidate for re-chroming. You decide.
I have been collecting vintage bicycles for almost 50 years now (I started with them when they were new, I just didn't move on to the modern stuff). As you can imagine, I have acquired a lot of spare parts over the years. I am now retired and its time to move some of it on to someone who can use and benefit from them. I am not expert but have a passion for the restoration of old bicycles.
I have been selling on eBay for over 23 years now (January of 2000). I am a retired engineer and pride myself on careful yet efficient packing. My feedback goes back to the beginning, not many sellers can say that. I also buy stuff (like I need more)...
