Von Sothen Racing (VSR) M9 BMX Cranks, 135mm Silver • Narrow Q-factor!
Square-taper crank arms for your kid's ultra-light BMX race bike. These are VSR's model M9 and are bit lighter than model M4. 230g for the pair (including 4 stainless steel spider bolts). Rider weight limit is 85 lbs.
In addition to weight shavings, these offer a very tight Q-factor: (This pair measured 130mm wide on a 103mm bottom bracket from Helium). Although designed for BMX, there is no reason you couldn't use these to achieve a more kid-appropriate Q-factor on a road or CX bike.
Made in Santa Cruz, California from 7075-T4 aluminum.
Raw silver. Lovely condition, this pair saw minimal use. The square seat for the spider/sprocket fits snugly and all threads are in good condition. There are a few dark spots on the raw finish which could be buffed out, but no significant scratches. (There's a light scratch at the end of the right arm which never caught my eye until I was adding the last photo here. It's more noticable in the photo than in real life.)
My listing is for crank arms and spider bolts only. You will need to add your own bottom bracket and a spider or one-piece sprocket that uses the Answer mini 4-bolt pattern for attaching to the crank arm.
