This system came from a 1980 Varsity Deluxe, drop bar, ten speed (2x5) The System eliminates the need to pedal while shifting The freewheel up front eliminates the rear freewheel Uses the standard bottom bracket and bearing cups but requires a a rear wheel with no freewheel (FFS rear wheel) This unit was dis-assembled, cleaned, and re-greased with fresh, high performance NLGI No.2 lithium stearate grease. Most of these systems are running with 40+ year old grease. Install and forget it! All bike parts, tools, and and hardware ship dry unless noted by seller.
