Sell // Trade Sell/Trade-in Program FAQS CyclingUpgrades offers a Sell/Trade-in Program for customers looking to sell their cycling equipment. How do I receive a quote for the items I would like to sell or trade? We recommend using the form on our website to send us pictures and details of the items you would like to sell or trade. How quickly should I expect a response to my submission? We strive to respond to all submissions within 48 hours. How should I pack my items and are they insured? Check with your local bike ship for sturdy bike, frame, and wheelboxes. If you are unfamiliar with the process of packing a full bike for safe shipment, your local bike ship can usually package your bike for you for a small fee. We recommend crumpled packing paper and cushion foam and discourage the use of bubble wrap (once the bubbles pop is it very ineffective at protecting fragile items). For frame coverage we recommend ¾-1" pipe insulation which is usually available at your local hardware store. Please fill empty voids in boxes with appropriate packing materials. You are responsible for proper packaging to meet minimum carrier packaging requirements. Please note that shipping insurance does NOT cover improper or inadequate packaging. We provide basic insurance of $500 on inbound packages. If you would like to purchase additional insurance coverage, please contact us before we generate the shipping label.
Shipping Shipping We ship to customers in the USA and internationally. We require a signature for all orders over $750 to ensure the safe and secure delivery of the order and receiving a receipt of goods. Shipping Insurance We provide basic insurance coverage on all orders against loss and/or damage in transit. This includes coverage of up to $200 on orders below $750 and coverage of up to $500 for orders over $750. If the package is lost or damaged in transit, please contact us immediately to report the issue. If additional insurance coverage is desired, please contact us for insurance pricing after placing the order. Delivery Times We strive to process and ship all orders within 1 business day. Delivery times will vary depending on the shipping method selected and the destination. This includes details like a thorough visual inspection of carbon surfaces (a more advanced ultrasound inspection process is in the works), measuring lateral true on all wheels, digitally measuring of chain stretch, checking power meter connectivity & zero offset functions, and testing mechanical and electronic shift pieces.
We service or replace rough wheel/bottom bracket/headset/pulley bearings, replace worn hood covers, true any wheels over .5mm out of lateral, and replace any overly worn or non-functional parts that we encounter during our inspection and cleaning process.
We create detailed listings! We note and show all significant cosmetic defects with specific photos. We include key specs and measurements in all listings as well.
We package like professionals! Our frame and wheelboxes are custom made locally to ensure everything is safe in shipping! All small parts are lovingly wrapped in cushion foam in boxes that are just the right size.
We ship quickly! We fulfill all orders next business day or sooner. Generally, we are able to fulfill orders placed by 12pm MT on the same day, however it is not guaranteed.
